Jazz at Lincoln Center is committed to making quality jazz print music available to student and professional musicians around the world. There are numerous titles available, including transcriptions of classic jazz recordings and arrangements for younger bands with more titles added annually. While most are scored for big bands, there are a number of small group titles as well. Bring the best to your band with Jazz at Lincoln Center's vast collection of charts from the Essential Jazz Editions Series, the Essentially Ellington Library, or our Jazz for Young People™ Series.

Alfred Publications is the official print music publisher for Jazz at Lincoln Center. Essentially Ellington Library: Through the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center has transcribed more than 80 recordings of the Duke Ellington Orchestra and other seminal big band composers, published them, and made them available to jazz bands across the world. Each transcription provides performance notes and most include a reference recording with interpretations of the charts by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. All charts are scored for big band, but please refer to each title as exact instrumentation varies. If you are a high school jazz band director, visit www.EssentiallyEllington.org to learn more about our program specifically for high school jazz bands.
Price: $50/title for conductor's score and parts or $9-$10 for conductor's score only.

Essential Jazz Editions is a series of charts for jazz ensembles transcribed from classic jazz recordings. Five charts at a time are produced and published as a set, beginning with early jazz standards and continuing throughout the 1940's. Each original transcription includes historical and performance notes. Scores are edited by David Baker, Music Director of Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra.
Price: $25-$45/title for conductor's score and parts or $6-$10 for conductor's score only.

Jazz for Young People Series: The Jazz for Young People Series features arrangements for jazz ensemble by today's leading jazz arrangers. Designed for younger and developing bands, these charts are based on the repertoire from the Jazz for Young People™ Curriculum, a multi-media jazz appreciation curriculum. For more information on the Jazz for Young People Curriculum visit www.jazzforyoungpeople.org.
Price: $40-$48/title for conductor's score and parts or $8-$9 for conductor's score only.
